Staying at Duke’s Camp

You arrive at Maun airport and transfer to the side of the terminal that caters for the daily scheduled charter flights to the lodges. Fly to the Okavango delta where you are met and transfer to Duke's camp via a meandering game drive. This is your home for the next 3 nights, including all your meals, selected beverages and the shared daily activities.

Duke’s Camp is situated on a 220 000-acre (89 000-hectare) concession in the northern sector of the Okavango Delta, located just north of the iconic Vumbura and Duba Plains, and adjoining the renowned Moremi Game Reserve. The unusually large size of the concession, coupled with limited human impact and a vast abundance of wildlife, ensures a stay at Duke’s Camp is a rare opportunity to enjoy a truly wild and untouched corner of the Delta. The camp itself is pitched on an island along the shores of a permanent lagoon, all but hidden amid the boughs of indigenous leadwood and ebony trees.

You can look forward to impressive wildlife sightings throughout the year. Lush grasslands sustain large herds of herbivores – including African buffalo – while the Okavango’s iconic elephants are here in abundance, with guests often enjoying thrilling sightings on vehicle, mokoro, and boating excursions. This diverse habitat is also exceptional with healthy populations of leopard, lion, African wild dog and smaller carnivores including serval and caracal.

Day 4-6

Khwai Private Reserve

Staying at Sable Alley

Time to discover another region and you will fly to Khwai Private Reserve. Transfer to Sable Alley, your camp for the next 3 nights, located right on the banks of a lily-covered lagoon, home to harrumphing hippo and a favorite drinking spot for elephant and buffalo. Your meals and selected beverages are included during your stay, as well as the daily scheduled game drives.

Game viewing is fantastic in this area, all year long. Keep a lookout for leopard, lion, cheetah and wild dog, concealed from unsuspecting antelope in the grassy bushes. Then you’ll see hundred-strong herds of buffalo barrelling across the landscape, and enormous herds of elephants, trunks swinging and ears flapping. Not forgetting the smaller animals: impala drinking tentatively from pools, baboons shouting from trees, and sable and roan antelope, seemingly posing for your camera. You will have the opportunity to experience walking safaris, chat to your guide to set up your days.

Day 7-8

Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Staying at Old Drift Lodge

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for the charter flight to Kasane (depending on the airline, return to Maun before the hop to Kasane).

On arrival, meet by our representative for the road transfer to Victoria Falls, via the border crossing. Welcome to Zimbabwe! we have chosen a lovely safari style camp located on the Zambezi river and allowing for special game viewing and sunset cruises to end your safari on a relaxing note.

Upstream of the iconic Victoria Falls, on the banks of the Zambezi River, the lodge offers luxury accommodation overlooking the pristine Zambezi National Park, a mere 7 kilometers from the mighty Victoria Falls. This wild paradise frequented by elephant, buffalo, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck and impala, is your home for the next 2 days, including your meals, selected beverages and some scheduled activities. End of Itinerary

Your safari is coming to an end and you will be transferred to Victoria Falls airport after breakfast. Time at leisure until your onward flight or chat to us if you wish to extend your trip.
