This megaherd was spotted crossing the Mara river at crossing no 4. This amazing close-up footage gives you an idea of what it’s like to be in the middle of the chaos! You can see many more wildebeest still streaming in from the other side of the river.

Planning the trip with Bianca was a pleasure – she was patient and helpful and provided prompt answers to all our questions.
The trip itself was remarkable, offering a wide variety of locations and experiences to make our exposure to Africa and safaris an excellent and exciting opportunity. The guides were knowledgeable and had a network of other local guides with whom to connect so that they could always lead us to sites where animals were present. The lodges were comfortable and well furnished and the meals were well-prepared and tasty. The staff were friendly and always interacting with us. Altogether a wonderful experience!!

We booked our safari trip through Justin van Wyk from Discover Africa, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience.
He organized and booked everything from A to Z, so we didn’t have to worry about anything at all. Throughout the entire trip, we stayed in close contact, and he regularly checked in to make sure everything was going well.

Susan responded and started off with a video conference to ask about what we were thinking. Susan was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions as well as providing great insights that I wasn’t thinking of. My trip had additional complexities since I was going to a family wedding before, but Susan was able to navigate logistics with ease. She provided 3 options for our trip. Once we picked, she handled all the bookings/reservations in Africa. After things were booked, she proactively reached out for trip reminders, checked us in on our domestic flights within Africa, and reached out to ask how things were going while we were on our trip. Everything went perfect. We had an absolutely wonderful experience with the booking process and most importantly discovering Africa. 100% recommend!

From the start the communication was timely, despite the time zone difference, and the advice was thorough and precise. It seemed to me that our agent, Susan, was always available no matter what time I was communicating with her. More than that she regularly checked in with me during our trip to make sure all was going well and checked us in for all our internal flights ahead of time.
The first thing Susan did was to find out what we wanted from our trip and then used that to tailor an itinary that met all our desires. Susan’s intimate knowledge of tourism in Africa had us booked into game reserves and guides in South Africa and Kenya which had all the big 5 on display plus more. The accommodation and tour guides she organised were fantastic.
Thanks to Susan we have had an African adventure taking in Karongwe and Masai Mara game reserves, Victoria Falls and the beautiful city of Cape Town which has provided photos, videos and memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
The service we recieved from Discover Africa was exceptional and went beyond our expectations. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.
