Staying at RockFig Safari Lodge

Your journey begins with a flight from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit Airport. On arrival, you will be met by a lodge representative and enjoy a road transfer to RockFig Safari Lodge which will be your home for the next four nights. Dependent on your flight arrival time, you should be in time to enjoy lunch at the lodge followed by your afternoon game drive and have your first opportunity to spot some wildlife..

Day 2-4

Timbavati Private Nature Reserve

Staying at RockFig Safari Lodge

You will be spending three full days to enjoy the incredible game viewing on offer in this region of the Greater Kruger National Park, with morning and afternoon game drives included in your stay. Your drives are very personal as only 4 guests will be accommodated per vehicle per game drive. Back at the lodge, you have some downtime to enjoy the facilities, relax on your deck, swim, read a book and exchange stories with other guests. With no fences between the Timbavati and the Kruger National Park, wildlife is free to come and go, making this one of South Africa’s richest wildlife areas. Sightings of predators are a noted feature during the game drives, from wild dogs to leopards and the white lions, Timbavati’s best-known residents.

Vilanculos

Staying at Santorini Mozambique

Today you bid farewell to the Kruger National Park, and head off to Mozambique where you have some time to truly relax after a busy few days on safari. Depending on your date of travel you might need to fly to Johannesburg for 1 overnight (we will reconfirm at time of request). Early morning wake up call for the road transfer to MQP airport on time for the scheduled flight to Vilanculos. Arrival in Vilanculos airport, where you are met by a representative from Santorini for your transfer to the resort. Santorini Mozambique is like a small Greek village in the heart of a raw African landscape – a magical combination. Being on the mainland, you have the opportunity to experience everything this magical place has to offer. From spending a day out on the blue waters to exploring the colorful markets and local shops of Vilanculos town.

Day 6-8

Vilanculos

Staying at Santorini Mozambique

A few days to enjoy the facilities on offer at the resort such as kayaks, stand-up paddling, snorkeling, beach volleyball, beach cricket and fishing equipment is available. Special value add-on: a complimentary snorkeling trip to Magaruqye island and a 15 minute hand or foot treatment at the Spa is included in your stay. You can also enjoy a guided tour of Vilanculos which is included in your stay. Optional activities at an extra cost are also available, such as: spa treatments, scuba diving, boat trips, scenic helicopter flights, deep sea fishing, dhow sailing and horse safaris.

End of Itinerary

This morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to Vilanculos Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg Airport where you can connect with your onward journey.
