Matthys is Discover Africa’s Senior Travel Consultant, with over 13 years experience in the travel industry and a keen eye for photography.
Matthys believes that sharing his decade of experience, passion and knowledge of South Africa with the rest of the world on a daily basis is not a job, but a pleasure.
The travel bug bit Matthys while exploring the United Kingdom for two years. After returning to South Africa, he found himself gravitating towards the travel industry and helping people to make their dreams come true. He hails from the North West Province, Matthys studied in Johannesburg and lived in numerous South African provinces - the Free State, KwaZulu-Natal and now the Western Cape.
