We are based in Sydney and had our initial conversation with Cayleigh Brown by video. She came back to us with a proposed itinerary and was very accommodating of one of our guests who uses a wheelchair.

The iitinerary was fantastic and built so that each experience was even better than the last (something we didnt think was possible at the beginning). all our transfers and flights went without a hitch – it was superb.

First safari for us – 3 days in Arusha, 2 Tarangire, 2 Ngorongo, 4 Serengeti and 6 in Zanzibar.

We found the choice of potential locations, accommodation, routes etc almost bewildering at first. Matthys at DA carefully sought to understand we were looking for and came up (after a couple of face to face discussions and several emails) with a suitable schedule

Pre and mid trip communication was excellent. The DA portal is very detailed and comprehensive and the app was very useful on a day to day basis once we arrived in Tanzania.

The recommended accommodation and transport was mostly superb, only issue was transferring from Kogatendi to Zanzibar where a supposed direct flight was in fact 2 flights with a 2 hour delay on the second, meaning we arrived in Zanzibar around 4 hours later than planned. We understand this happens quite regularly in the bush so not a big deal.

My wife was unfortunately taken ill during the trip (not attaching any blame to any lodge or hotel, these things can happen any time). An initial doctor visit was very well handled by our first guide (en route from Tarangire to Ngongoro), and after a slight recovery she again went downhill when we in the Serengeti. Between Matthys from DA and our driver in Zanzibar a hospital visit was pre-arranged when we arrived and the recommended hospital was excellent. The camps in Ngongoro, Serengeti and the hotel in Zanzibar really couldn’t have done any more to make sure she was as comfortable as possible.

The accommodation was fabulous in all locations and the two guides/drivers absolutely exceptional. All arrangements went as planned and everyone we encountered were so friendly and helpful. Despite the illness disruption we saw many amazing things, too many to list here,

We initially felt quite overwhelmed by the number of different tours, lodges and options available when planning an African adventure, so we decided to speak with Discover Africa to help us create a memorable trip. We are so glad we did!

Chrizaan took the time to listen to what we wanted from our trip and then put together an incredible itinerary that gave us a real taste of Africa and some experiences we will never forget. From the different safari lodges and game drives to Victoria Falls, the trip offered such a wonderful variety of experiences. Some were absolute highlights and created memories that will stay with us for a lifetime.

Everything from the flights and transfers to the accommodation and activities was organised so efficiently. For someone who experiences a lot of anxiety when travelling, having everything organised and knowing there was someone who knew our itinerary and could help if needed was incredibly comforting.

Of course, with a trip this big and complicated, we did encounter a few hiccups along the way. What made such a difference was knowing that Chrizaan was only a quick phone call away. She was always helpful, responsive and quick to assist in resolving anything that came up, which gave us great peace of mind while we were travelling.

We would absolutely recommend Discover Africa to anyone wanting to organise a trip to Africa, and particularly Chrizaan. She took our ideas, hopes and vision for the trip and turned them into an incredible reality.

Planning the trip with Bianca was a pleasure – she was patient and helpful and provided prompt answers to all our questions.

The trip itself was remarkable, offering a wide variety of locations and experiences to make our exposure to Africa and safaris an excellent and exciting opportunity. The guides were knowledgeable and had a network of other local guides with whom to connect so that they could always lead us to sites where animals were present. The lodges were comfortable and well furnished and the meals were well-prepared and tasty. The staff were friendly and always interacting with us. Altogether a wonderful experience!!

Chrizaan was friendly, organized and extremely knowledgeable about lodges and safari options that we were interested in. We booked an 11 night tour through Zimbabwe and Botswana starting in Victoria Falls at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge then going to Botswana to Chobe Game Lodge, Camp Okavango, Camp Xakanaxa and Leroo La Tau.

All the lodges were 5 star safari lodges or tented camps. The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff and guides were friendly, fun and very knowledgeable. We saw 4 of the Big 5 (no rhinos) plus hundreds of elephants, zebras, wildebeest, crocodiles and more.

The thing that stood out the most to us was how organized the tour was with Desert & Delta Safari Group managing timely flights between camps that coordinated flawlessly with game drives and meals.

Justin took great care to make sure we had the best possible experience in Kruger NP and we are so grateful.

Through the booking process we were looking at several options and he patiently guided us through the alternatives but ultimately encouraged us to select the itinerary that would give us the best chance of seeing the cats that were on the bucket list.

Even when we had some minor hiccups with things such as delayed flights he was a quick WhatsApp message away and was always very supportive.

I researched many Africa tours but could not find an itinerary that did exactly what I wanted to do. I contacted Discover Africa to see if they might be able to help. Bianca was terrific. She listened to what I wanted to do and put together a perfect itinerary. She offered a couple of different “camp” options at each stop along the way. She put the whole thing together and helped me work to a price point I was comfortable with. The entire trip went flawlessly. I was very impressed with Bianca and Discover Africa.

I have just returned from my third African safari organised by Discover Africa, and once again Susan did an outstanding job of planning every detail.

The journey began at my favourite destination, Kruger National Park, where the wildlife experiences were as memorable as ever. From there, I travelled to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, an awe-inspiring destination. The microlight flight over the falls was simply unforgettable, offering breathtaking views and an experience I’ll never forget.

The final leg of the trip took me to Elephant Valley Lodge in Botswana, where the game drives in Chobe National Park were exceptional. The afternoon cruise on the Chobe River provided a completely different perspective on the incredible wildlife, making for a perfect conclusion to the safari.

This was another outstanding holiday, and I have no doubt that my fourth trip to the African continent will also be organised by Discover Africa.

I worked with Justin Van Wyk at Discover Africa Safaris to arrange safaris in Zimbabwe and Botswana, including a stop at Victoria Falls, for two of my children and me. The safaris were exquisite, and Justin was phenomenal—professional, responsive, and detail-oriented. He patiently helped refine my changing requirements and dreams until we created a luxurious, once-in-a-lifetime trip. The adventure was extremely well organized: there were no surprises, we were greeted at each location, and transportation between destinations was well planned and flexible when needed.

The six luxury camps arranged by Discover Africa and Justin were outstanding. The food was excellent, and even my picky daughter ate well at every meal. The accommodations and furnishings were beautiful, and the staff were welcoming, attentive, and friendly. Everyone at the camps prioritized safety and made sure we always felt comfortable and secure.

The actual safaris and activities we out-of-this-world. My goals of this trip were to have my adult children see the Big Five and to capture pictures of leopards. We saw a leopard on the first day! And around a dozen in all. Many amazing pictures were taken as well. With a side trip to see rhinos, we did see the Big Five, and many, many more wild African animals. We even caught tiger fish…

We booked our 10-day safari in Tanzania and Kenya through Discover Africa, and it exceeded every expectation. From our first conversation through the end of our journey, everything was exceptionally well organized, allowing us to focus entirely on enjoying the experience.

A special thank you to Bianca, who helped us design our itinerary. She was knowledgeable, responsive, and incredibly patient throughout the planning process. We had a lot of questions, compared multiple itinerary options, and made several adjustments along the way. Bianca always provided thoughtful recommendations, explained the tradeoffs, and never made us feel rushed. Her expertise was invaluable in building an itinerary that perfectly matched what we were looking for.

Every transfer, flight, and accommodation was seamlessly coordinated. We never had to worry about logistics, and everything ran exactly as planned.

The itinerary itself was phenomenal. We experienced Cape Town, Victoria Falls, Tanzania, and Kenya, culminating in an unforgettable safari where we witnessed the Great Migration, saw the Big Five, and had incredible wildlife encounters throughout. The accommodations Discover Africa selected were all excellent, each offering something unique while consistently delivering outstanding hospitality and service.

What impressed us most was that Discover Africa didn’t simply book hotels and flights. They helped craft an experience. The pacing of the trip, the choice of camps, and the routing between destinations all came together to create a vacation we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.

An outstanding safari through Discover Africa- from the organisation and attentiveness, Thanks Vihann, to the sublime wildlife viewing and stunning sunsets this was Africa as you imagine it. Okavango is stunning and pristine form the air and the camps fabulous. The people in the camps and everywhere we went were warm, smiling, joyous and proud. And rightly so. Different landscapes and habitats wherever we went, not just Okavango, and stunning vistas. The hospitality tops it off.

Was just awesome, pre-service to service and after-service, just great. At the lodge, the staff had a special birthday party for my son who turned 16. The drives were awesome too….
