A Grandiose Journey through Cape Town, the Winelands and Kruger Safari

My husband and I started planning our Safari in Sept to go in May. Vihann at Discover Africa was wonderful!! He setup a video call on our timeline to ask what we wanted and actually listened. He came up with a plan that we agreed to and the rest was easy. All of our accommodations were exactly as promised, flights and transfers all went off without a hitch, so we had nothing to worry about the whole time just a wonderful experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Can not think of one negative comment to add.

This was our first experience using an online booking agent and it was outstanding. Justin went through our requirements even though we were pretty sure we knew what we wanted (we really didn’t!) and came up with a plan that met our needs, including coordination with our existing travel plans. I can’t say enough good things about Justin and the folks at Discover Africa Safaris.

Susan and the team from Discover Africa you have excelled yourself through the initial contact to the very end of our journey. We were dazzled with the views of Cape Town. Victoria Falls and of course the game parks. The animals did not disappoint the spectacular service of all the staff will be etched in our memories forever.

The animals were the stars of the show but I have to mention the service,food and accomodation was out of this world. I took this tour with my 23 year old son and i was so impressed with all that this beautiful country had to offer. Susan, from the Wales family you are one amazing lady. Thank you again. We are an Australian family of 6 and have just returned from a 2-week safari holiday in South Africa. Discover Africa was excellent. Devryn Panaino was our consultant and he was full of good information and always speedy with a return email.

There was not a single glitch during our holiday. The lodges and camps recommended were exactly what we asked for, with very comfortable accommodation and a couple of dietary requirements catered for every single meal. The guides and trackers were first-rate. They were very friendly and seemed to know everything about the African bush and its wildlife. They would get us into the best possible viewing spot every time and always so close to the animals.

Even the transfers were good – on time with friendly drivers and air-conditioned vans. Each transfer turned into a mini safari.
We hope to return to Africa in the next few years and will absolutely use Dev and the team at Discover Africa.

Steve's South Africa Safari Experience

Working with Discover Africa on our safari trip to South Africa was absolutely wonderful. We had to worry about next to nothing because they provided so much support and assistance. It was a true experience of a lifetime, and we so appreciate all of the time and effort they put into making every detail perfect.

Wanting to add additional experiences to an underlying South Africa trip for a friend’s wedding, we worked with Adelle initially to review options. Her experience and knowledge was evident from the beginning as she provided several different options based on the price range we provided. As we settled on an initial itinerary, the pandemic arrived and we had to delay everything. Adelle adeptly handled all adjustments, delays, cancellations, and rebookings over the next 2 years.

Finally able to travel, we were provided well in advance very useful, detailed, and pertinent information about our accommodations, locations, preparatory considerations (e.g., vaccines, in-country customs, tipping, etc.), and itinerary. Our trip included personally-arranged stops within agent-arranged trip and Adelle expertly arranged for all pick-up and shuttle services so we only needed to take care of getting on and off the planes for each leg of our trip.

Our all-inclusive safari lodges were described as “luxury,” but we had no idea…until we arrived. One of them has become our favorite, though both are easily classified as luxury. Each lodge had its own approach and atmosphere, but both provided great meals and services. Our favorite had more-than-welcoming staff, continually-customized meals to meet dietary needs, special touches for meal locations and room service, a air of romance hidden through many small and large acts by the staff, and game drives and bush walks, which all combined to give us experiences over the several days we were there that we couldn’t even have imagined–even after reading all the information ahead of time.

Simply put, we have found our travel agent for southern Africa, will be coming back in the future, and will not hesitate to trust Adelle’s thoughts and planning on any future trip.
