Vino and vistas
On your first day in the Mother City you'll see two main attractions, Cape Point and the Cape Winelands of the Cape countryside. This is a great combo tour for visitors who have only a short time in the Mother City. Highlights include Chapman's Peak Drive, Cape Point and Boulders Beach penguin colony. From here the tour goes to wine country, with a stop at a wine estate and visit to the historic town of Stellenbosch. Overnight at Welgelegen Guest House, with breakfast included.

Capetonian hospitality

Blue Train
This morning you'll board the luxurious Blue Train at Cape Town station for your overnight trip to Pretoria 1,600 kilometres and 27 hours away. You'll stop at the Victorian village of Matjiesfontein in the Karoo for an off-the-train excursion; enjoy a glass of sherry in the bar and take photographs of this tiny village where time seems to have stood still. Then sit back in comfort and watch the South African scenery glide past your window. Overnight on the Blue Train, with all meals and Matjiesfontein excursion included.

Blue train
Your second day on the Blue Train will see you journey to the old diamond town of Kimberley, where you'll be able to see the largest man-made diamond mine in the world, dubbed the "Big Hole". Enjoy learning about the incredible history of this quaint town. Enjoy a glass of sherry before you embark on the train again on your way towards Pretoria. Aperitifs and dinner before retiring to your carriage.

Quick stop-over
When you arrive in Pretoria, you'll be met and transferred to your Sandton hotel, which has a spa where you can choose to spend a few hours in the afternoon. Dinner is served in the terraced restaurant. Enjoy the evening and get ready for your safari that starts in the morning. Overnight at Fairlawns Boutique Hotel and Spa, breakfast included.

Safari at its best
You'll be transferred to the airport in Johannesburg for your scheduled charter flight into the Timbavati Private Game Reserve. You'll arrive in time for your afternoon game drive and sundowners. Overnight at Ngala Tented Camp, with your meals, drinks and drives included.

This is leopard country
Make the most of the early morning and late afternoon for spotting the big cats that have made Ngala (which is the local Shangaan word for lion) famous, going out on game drives for your chance to spot the Big Five, cheetah, wild dog and a multitude of birds for which Kruger is best known. Overnight at Ngala Tented Camp, with your meals, drinks and game activities included.

Lodge-hopping
Have a morning game drive at Ngala first then take a 20-minute flight to Leadwood Lodge in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve for your last two nights on safari. Get to Leadwood in time for lunch, a siesta and late afternoon drive. The Sabi Sand is in the south-western corner of Kruger National Park and there are no fences so the animals roam freely between them. Sabi Sand is known for its up-close leopard sightings, which make it perfect for keen photographers. Overnight at Leadwood Lodge, with your meals, drinks and game activities included.

Memorble moments
Your last day on safari is spent with the Sabi Sand leopard. Make the most of early morning and late afternoon game drives to search for animals you didn't see on your first day, or simply relax at the lodge and watch animals come to drink at the river's edge.
