Mafia Island, your flight there

Start exploring

There are lots of things to do and see on Mafia island. Try scuba diving, snorkeling with whale sharks (October to March) or visit Marimbani sandbank, which makes you feel as if you're in the middle of the ocean. Visit the ruins on Chole island, just off the main island, or experience sea turtle hatching on some beaches between the months of June and September each year.

Please note that your activities and excursions aren't included in your room rate and that if you intend to visit Marine Park, the fees are payable to the authorities on Mafia island when you arrive at Pole Pole. Overnight at Pole Pole Eco Resort, with your meals and drinks included.

Diving, snorkelling relaxing

Relax, decide what you feel like doing today and enjoy the island's beauty and tranquility. Mafia island is the best and easiest place to go snorkelling and diving if you enjoy these activities. Overnight for your last evening at Pole Pole Eco Resort, with your meals and drinks included.

Pemba Island, your flight there

You'll fly from Mafia island to the unspoilt Pemba island north of Zanzibar. Your flight departs at 12:30pm and will have you at Pemba by 3pm. Pemba is the prettiest of the three islands and also the least visited. There are only two places to stay, and Fundu Lagoon is the better option. Settle into your room on the western side of the island, then enjoy the afternoon before taking in the sunset. Overnight at Fundu Lagoon, with your meals and drinks included.

Pemba Island, to yourself

Pemba island is famous for its diving of the gaps and walls that fall into the deep Pemba channel. The channel is also used for game fishing and is a wonderful area to explore. Make the most of your day and discuss your activities with the on-site dive and activity company Dive 710. Their knowledge of the diving and snorkeling sights is useful and they have the right equipment to get you to and from your dive, snorkel, fishing or the turtle beaches quickly. Overnight at Fundu Lagoon, with your meals and drinks included.

Gaps, walls and tranquility

If you're an experienced diver then Pemba has wonderful options. A lot of water moves through the Pemba channel and there are wonderful drifts looking at coral walls and gaps. Zanzibar Island, finally

Take the noon flight from Pemba back to Zanzibar, where you'll arrive at 12:45pm in time for lunch at your Stone Town Hotel. You'll be driven to the exclusive Anna of Zanzibar on the east coast of the island. This small boutique hotel has only five rooms so you'll enjoy privacy and exclusivity. Overnight at Anna of Zanzibar, with your meals and drinks included.

Zanzibar’s Stone Town has a unique energy. If you enjoy markets and old Arab architecture, spend some time in Stone Town to enjoy the scenery and the hustle and bustle of the narrow streets and colourful Tinga Tinga paintings. Fly Home

Transfer to Zanzibar airport for your flight back to Dar es Salaam. From here you'll transfer to Dar es Salaam International airport to connect with your flight home.
