Discover Africa Safaris were great to deal with. Cayleigh put together an excellent itinerary which included Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park, the Okavango Delta and Maun. It included everything we requested, with excellent accommodation, transfers and safaris. Everything went smoothly. We had a wonderful time and saw amazing sights and heaps of wildlife. Communication was excellent throughout with both Cayleigh and Megan. Would definitely use them again if we are ever travelling in the area.

A trip of a lifetime. Great guides covering Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyana, Ngorongoro crater and southern Serengeti, where we saw herds of elephants, giraffes, antelope, zebra, wildebeast, cape buffalo, eland, jackels, hyenas, mongeese, hippopotomi, rhinoceroses, lion, leopard, cheetah and loads more. This was followed by a more relaxing period on the beaches of Zanzibar, where we snorkelled with dolphins and amongst the numerous fish living on the coral reef.

Every day on safari, we woke thinking that the day could not be better than the previous one but were consistenly wrong.

The fixed accomodation was excellent, the mobile camp was more agricultural as expected. Food across the various locations was good to great.

Definitely worth the money, with incredible experiences

We had a truly magical safari experience perfectly planned & organised for us by Susan Veldman at Discover Africa.

We flew from Cape Town to Hoedspruit and then seamlessly transferred to the most beautiful lodge in the Karongwe private game reserve. We stayed at Kuname Lodge and it was perfect, the setting, the staff and the lodges were all wonderful and the food was amazing. The game drives from the lodge were so well organised and we saw so much big game.

The transfer back to airport and flight back to Cape Town were also seamless so the whole experience is everything we could have asked for.

If anyone asks me where to look when booking a South Africa adventure then I would say that they do not have to look any further than Susan!

We were initially overwhelmed with all of the options for African Safaris when we first started planning our trip. Luckily, Discover Africa responded promptly to our initial request for information and we were quickly scheduled for an initial consult with Adelle Bell.

Adelle presented several options and really listened to our feedback to tailor a perfect week in the African bush for our honeymoon. She took care of absolutely everything for us besides the international flights, which was a big weight off our shoulders after just planning so much time planning our wedding ourselves. She was also extremely communicative throughout the planning process and while we were on the ground the week of our honeymoon as well.

We spent 3 nights at Motswari in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve followed by 3 nights at Arathusa in Sabi Sands Private Game reserve. Both lodges and reserves surpassed our expectations. Motswari felt like a much more traditional and authentic safari experience, while Arathusa felt more up-scale and resort like. The staff and hospitality at both were fantastic, and the game drives surpassed our expectations immediately.

If you are considering booking a vacation to Africa, I would highly recommend booking through Discover Africa and asking for Adelle specifically. She will knock it out of the park!

Our experience with Discover Africa was great. Justin Van Wyk, our consultant, was extremely accommodating, worked through a number of options to meet our dates and requirements, and checked in at numerous occasions before during and after the trip to check that everything was okay and that we were having a fantastic time as to plan. We just returned from an African safari in Kenya and Tanzania as well as gorilla trekking in Rwanda. Susan planned our 17 day to perfection. It was seamless to travel between countries, between lodges as well as negotiate airport arrivals and departures. The choice of itinerary and the amount of time in each location was perfect, as well as the choice of accommodations. We thoroughly enjoyed our safari and we met wonderful people as well as friendly, knowledgeable and informative guides. It was just the perfect trip. Words are not sufficient to express how pleased we were with Susan of Discover Africa. We would definitely use them again and we would not hesitate in recommending them.
