Huge wildebeest herd spotted near Gol Kopjes heading east!
A wildebeest herd was spotted near Gol Kopjes in the Serengeti National Park. Wildebeest play a vital role in the ecosystem, as their grazing helps prevent overgrowth of the vegetation. As the wildebeest continue moving on their route, their waste fertilizes the soil and replenishes the vegetation for other wildebeest and animals.

Herd spotted crossing the Mara river at no 0
This herd was spotted crossing the Mara river at crossing no 0. You can see a hungry crocodile fast approaching a stray wildebeest in this video! This small crossing was the only for the day as river crossing season comes to a close for the year.

Herds arrive in the central Serengeti
This herd was spotted in the Seronera Valley in the Serengeti National Park. Herds have moved far south from the river crossings and have arrived in the central Serengeti! Wildebeest herds are now scattered from here all the way to Masai Mara.

Megaherd crossing over the Mara river at no 7!
This megaherd was spotted crossing the Mara river at crossing no 7. Recent rains have raised the water level of the Mara river making this an extra long crossing for this massive herd! You can see some dramatic leaps into the river from many wildebeest in this video.

Massive crossing over the Mara river at no 7a!
This herd was spotted crossing the Mara river at crossing no 7a. You can see the huge number of wildebeest coming in from the plains to join the queue to cross! This was another southern crossing, with more likely to come soon from the herds currently in Masai Mara.

Megaherd crosses the Mara river at no 6!
This megaherd was spotted crossing the Mara river at crossing no 6. Another incredible sighting of a gigantic herd moving south following the recent rainfall! The end of this video has a unique perspective of how quickly the plains are flooded with wildebeest after a massive river crossing.
