Absolutely Phenomenal Trip in Botswana on a Mobile Safari

The trip was absolutely phenomenal. Words can never justify our stunning safari travel story but in summary, Letaka Mobile Safaris are a top-shelf outfit that knocks it out of the park.

I have never met a more experienced and knowledgeable expert guide like Lucas. The experiences are too many to mention but to name just a few: from 2 lionesses with 6 cubs feeding on a Zebra, a leopard hauling its impala carcass up a tree, a herd of 100 elephants passing through a water hole.

Over 300 buffalos crossing the grasslands, travelling up the Khwai river on a “makoro” seeing the fish eagles and 4 elephants grazing in the river to having lunch around a waterhole with over 20 hippos not more than 50m from us. We couldn’t have imagined a better Safari Story.

Lucas made us feel safe and secure and his knowledge of flora and fauna is simply incredible. He is also a very skilled driver which is an absolute necessity on the soft sandy and muddy Botswana roads.

KK our chef produced dinners that rivalled top-notch restaurants the difference is that he did it all on fire. The fillet with pepper sauce was done to perfection and the desserts including carrot cake and apple crumble were simply delicious. On our travel days between camps, the packed lunches were had in front of elephants and hippos enjoying their water holes not more than 50 meters from us.

KB and Elliot were absolute gems who ensured we had drinks set upon arrival and topped up thereafter, warm water showers, hot water bottles in our beds and on our morning game drives.

Letaka Safaris proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they would exceed any other mobile camping Safari but I would go as far as to say rival luxury game lodges.
