The MalaMala Game Reserve is a well-known spot for high-end safaris in Southern Africa. It is one of South Africa’s biggest private Big Five game reserves. MalaMala is famous for having the best and most regular views of the Big Five animals. It covers an impressive 13,200 hectares (33,000 acres).

MalaMala is in a great spot, halfway between the Kruger National Park and the Sabi Sand Reserve. It shares an unfenced 19 km (12 miles) border with the Kruger National Park. Because of its unique location, this area lets animals like leopards, lions, and rhinos move freely between the parks. Animals are drawn to MalaMala’s 20 km (13 miles) Sand River frontage, especially in the dry winter months, enriching the game viewing experience.
