Southern herds spread out and the northern herds still south of the Sand River
Hi Carel,
Quick update. Wildebeest herds continue to pour onto the plains east of Bolagonja and Nyamalumba areas in the Northern Serengeti. We're hoping to start seeing the crossings not too long from now. Large herds of zebra are still being seen around Lemala Ewanjan Tented Camp in central Serengeti.

Central herds on the move as it gets dryer at Seronera
Hi Carel,
Whilst the migration is heading north there are still some big herds in central Serengeti which can be seen to be heading in the general direction of Lobo. Guests were able to enjoy one such herd as they continued on their journeys!

Western herds slowly heading north from Naabi
Hi Carel
Its Adam here with Grumeti Expedition just heading to Serengeti with some clients and look what I found at Naabi gate. A herd of around 4000+ enjoying the green grass on the Naabi plains.

Breaking news – herds up at Lobo already
Hi Carel,
I just got back from the Serengeti and whilst there are some herds in central Serengeti, there are big herds around the Lobo area as well.
Great cat sightings to be seen too, but still the rain remains elusive.

Central Serengeti, Moru and the Western Corridor
Hi Carel,
With some guests in Central Serengeti and came across this nice group of wildebeest catching a rest under the shade of the trees near the hippo bridge.
The herds are still looking as though they are moving towards lobo and showing no signs of moving back to Ndutu. Still no rain here and so its very dry but lots of little foals around the place.

Makoma Hill, central Serengeti with restless herds
Morning all,
Spent a few days in Ndutu but with it still being very hot and no signs of rain we made our way into Serengeti from the south and found some herds in the Moru area with big herds in Seronera and around Makoma Hills. They certainly look like they are making their way slowly out towards the north and with there having been some rain in the last two days around Makoma they are quite happy grazing their way up.
Lots of foals around with the usual sightings of some being ‘left behind’ asleep under the Acacia trees.Have a great week!
