My son Max and I just returned from an incredible trip to South Africa and Mauritus, and I can’t say enough about how exceptional Susan Veldman was throughout the entire process. There was not a single disappointment on the trip which is rare for a trip of this scale.

She found the most outstanding places for us to stay with our favorite by far Leopard Hills Lodge in Sabi Sands Reserve, A small intimate lodge with incredible rooms, food and the game drives did not disappoint as we saw the big 5 every day and many leopards while feeling we were only ones in the park. I have been on several safaris in Africa but this was different how alone and private it was.

The other hotel I would not miss was one of the best hotels we ever stayed at in the world in Johannesburg, The Residence Hotel which was amazing and since our flight was cancelled due to a Lufthansa strike we had to stay an extra night which was also a highlight of our trip and we would go back to Johannesburg to stay there again.

My husband and I had an unforgettable trip to South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana, expertly planned by Susan based on our preferences. The accommodations she selected in Cape Town, Zimbabwe, and Botswana were among the best we’ve experienced, with Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge being a standout highlight—truly out of this world. The safaris in Chobe National Park and Kruger National Park were absolutely incredible.

Susan was always available, approachable, and flexible, and she thoroughly prepared us for the journey. We are extremely satisfied with the trip and look forward to booking with her again soon.

This was the most amazing trip to Cape Town and Botswana. There are no words to describe how wonderful it was. It went seamlessly and could not have been any better. Megan Warrington arranged our trip and we really can’t say enough good about both Discover Africa and Megan. Megan was so attentive, always available and graciously responded to all our questions and inquiries.

When we first started planning our trip, we requested information from many different travel companies. Discover Africa rose above the rest in many aspects. It had the best customer service (Megan), was one of the only companies to offer a mobile safari (Letaka Safaris – which are also amazing), had the same itinerary as another highly rated travel company however Discover Africa was much cheaper and Megan was much more responsive and helpful from the very beginning than any other representative. We highly recommend this company for your safari.

From the first call to Adelle at Discover Africa to the last minute of my holiday was perfection, from the drivers to the accomodation. Adelle fullfilled all my wishes and there was not a single thing to worry about, absolutely everything was organised. The Safari at Sabi Sabi reserve was amazing, we saw the Super 7, the food, accomodation and staff was outstanding at the Little Bush Camp. I was terribly emotional when it came to say good-bye.

Cape Town was a great place to be to visit all the attractions, our accomodation was an 1800 Harbour Masters residence, absolutely beautiful and you really are right in the V&A waterfront, our private guide for the day was so infomative and polite. Hermanus, where we were so lucky to see whales. Our final days at Franschhoek, proved to be the relaxing few days, we stayed at Avonrood Guest house in the Mountain View Suite, which had the most stunning views of the mountains and a very spacious and comfortable room. The vineyards are no distance away, and the restaurants excellent. All in all a wonderful and memorable time. Thank you

Decided to go on my first safari holiday this year and as Discover Africa was highly rated I used them and boy they were BRILLIANT! Based in Cape Town, my advisor was the EXCELLENT Vihann.

My first contact was a video call with him and he was very competent, knowledgeable and helpful. I told Vihann the sort of holiday I wanted and lo and behold within a couple of days I had received and EXCELLENT QUOTATION.

It was for a 10-day holiday including a 4-day safari at the excellent Kambaku River Sands in Timbavati in greater Kruger followed by 4 days on Cape Town touring the beautiful Western Cape privately chauffeured in my own luxury car. Vihann’s service throughout was excellent including providing me with all the information I needed step by step in organised/chronological order and replying to my ‘many’ enquiries within a day or so.

My family and I had a great time on our trip to Botswana and Zimbabwe. It’s been a long time coming since we booked this trip for the summer of “nothing” (2020) and had to reschedule for 2023. Adelle was fantastic and patient as we made date changes several times. The hotels and experiences at these hotels were great–including the super fun (casino) hotel in Johannesburg. That made the overnight we weren’t really looking forward to so fun.

Adelle covered all of the details and was amazingly responsive for the 7-hour time difference. She answered every question we had. The hotels were beautiful, good safaris and great service. We were even upgraded to the Safari Club in Victoria Falls, which was an extra treat. The river safari in Botswana was a family favorite, as was the tour of Victoria Falls. I also want to say the border crossing between Botswana and Zimbabwe would have been a little nerve-wracking if we were doing it on our own.

Great trip! I highly recommend them and have done so already with several friends. I plan to use Discover Africa on our next trip to Africa.
