The beautiful Cape Winelands includes South Africa's oldest town, Stellenbosch, charming Franschhoek, historic Paarl and more than 400 wine farms
History comes alive as you meet local winemakers, sip some of South Africa's best wines, learn about the art of making wine and see some of the finest examples of old Cape Dutch architecture in the country. You don't have to know your wine or even love wine to enjoy this day out into wine country on a private Winelands tour, but enjoying wine certainly helps.
You'll visit at least three wine farms and stop in either Stellenbosch or Franschhoek (or both), depending on the client requirements. The experienced tour guide will customise the tour to your group's needs, according to interest, wine preference and individual requests.

Some of the farms we visit regularly are Fairview (cheese and wine tasting), Muratie (a must for history buffs), Tokara (a modern winery with incomparable views of the Stellenbosch Valley), Ernie Els (hit a few pitch shots while you sip the Big Easy), Middelvlei (the Momberg family always puts on a big welcome) and Solms Delta (the passionate farm workers will wow you with their unique approach).
Lunch depends on the weather and the route, but the Goatshed at Fairview, La Petite Ferme, the braai at Middelvlei or the Olive Shed at Tokara are regular stops.
