KuKaya, an exclusive safari retreat located inside the South Luangwa National Park, about 3 kilometers from the entry gate, offers a great immersion in nature.

The property features six spacious thatched tents: five double units and one single unit. Each chalet has outdoor en-suite bathrooms, a living and dining area, a private deck, a plunge pool, and a firepit.

You can choose from various safari activities, such as game drives, walking safaris, and wildlife photography at the bird hide, or the main hide.

Engage with the local community through visits to Mfuwe village and participate in the camp’s ongoing projects. KuKaya is ideal for families, or small group of friends traveling together.

Chamilandu Camp is one of the park’s most private and attractive sites, located in the park’s isolated southern area.

This breathtaking location puts you in the heart of the activity. Although two safari activities are available daily, guests are not required to leave the site to view wildlife.

This small camp features three high-stilted thatch and reed treehouses positioned on the brink of the Luangwa River, with open-fronted bedrooms and bathrooms providing 180-degree views. Twin vanities, flush WC, and twin showers with hot and cold water are included in the open-air en-suite facilities.

The heart of Bilimungwe is the cool, shady lounge area that looks out over one of the camp’s three waterholes, which is set beneath a massive mahogany tree. Kapamba is located on the banks of a shallow picturesque river and is bordered by some of the park’s most abundant animals. When you’re relaxing in your own private plunge pool, watching an elephant take a swim in the river can be quite an experience.

Kapamba’s charm and romance are most evident in its four spacious en-suite cabins. These open-fronted suites are cool, simple, and completely unique, with broad verandas with river views, double showers, and sunken stone plunge pools – the ultimate in bush pleasure.

This remote, vintage tented safari camp is ideal for small private groups looking for a real African safari experience. In four spacious tents, up to eight visitors can enjoy the tranquility of Zungulila.
