The Perfect Honeymoon in Southern Africa

We worked with Discover Africa to arrange our first ever Safari. Chrizaan from Discover Africa did a tremendous job in first understanding our requirements and wishes and then translating them into the perfect trip for us!

Everything was organized to the point and we did not have to fret about anything. We just had to bring our passport, money and good mood to enjoy an incredible vacation.

We felt like travelling with family!

Everybody was extremely friendly and the game reserves and lodges were first class. We saw all the animals we could have wished for and even more. We took so many photos, it will take weeks for us to decide which are the best ones. This is a great “problem” to have after such an exciting vacation. We are already talking about our next trip to Africa – and we would choose Discover Africa to organize the next trip for us again!

We travelled last August on a trip planned with Dev at Discover Africa. It was a family trip that i wanted us to remember forever and we definetly will! We could not have had an easier or more wonderful time and we would never have been able to plan and manage it ourselves.

We visited Botsana, Victoria Falls and Sabi Sands in South Africa then Mozambique. Every experience was better than we had hoped. Everyone who was part of our experience was so helpful and friendly and went the full measure to make sure we enjoyed our special holiday.

We were so lucky with every safari and saw so many animals, we had wonderful river trips seeing a great deal of wildlife, beautiful birds and even crocs eating a kill rather than just sunbathing. Everyday bought another surprise. Thank you to Dev and the team – your help was so appreciated.

Coming in absolutely blind on how to plan an Africa trip, I stumbled across Discover Africa Safaris on the internet and reached out for an inquiry. Susan responded and started off with a video conference to ask about what we were thinking. The safari itself was exceptional. We stayed at Kambaku River Sands in Timbavati, where comfort blends naturally with the wild. Our guide and tracker were skilled and passionate, turning every drive into something memorable. Each outing felt unhurried and authentic, with remarkable wildlife moments unfolding at their own rhythm: lions on the move, elephants at play, and leopards appearing from the shadows.

This trip was all about making memories, and it did just that. Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Mala Mala Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls, and finally Zanzibar. Our boutique hotels along the way were nothing less than stunning, as was Lanzarac Manor in Stellenbosch. The lasting memory is that of Mala Mala. If I could score it higher than 100%, then I would. So well organised.

Brilliant guide – Geena. The big five, not once but on several occasions. Excellent accommodation and first-rate staff. The whole trip went like a dream thanks to Vihann Van Wyk who checked in with us several times and even checked us in for all of our flights. I’d strongly recommend Discover Africa Safaris to anyone considering a trip to Africa and especially a safari. Well done Discover Africa. One off the bucket list!
