Simbavati Hilltop Lodge Review

It was incredibly easy to book the tour with Matthys and the Discover Africa team. They catered to our dates, our budget, and the type of trip we were looking for. One thing I really enjoyed was that everything was taken care of from the moment we touched down in Johannesburg (e.g. – flight the next day, transfers between flights to lodge locations, meals, drinks, everything!) so we didn’t have to think about all the travel logistics.

We stayed at the Simbavati Hilltop Lodge for 2 nights, and the Arathusa location in Sabi Sands for 2 nights. Both the locations did not disappoint. The views were incredible from our rooms (we could see elephants, antelope, hippos etc… directly from our private patios), staff/services were 10/10, and the food/drinks were absolutely incredible.

The game drives themselves were amazing as well – saw all the big 5 (some multiple times) and a bunch of other awesome animals as well. Guides were very knowledgeable, made you feel safe, and were just overall a great time. We highly recommend this trip.
