Safari & Women Empowerment

Arrive at Kasane airport and meet the representative for the scheduled charter to the camp. Welcome to Linyanti, where you are met by your woman trainee ranger who will look after you during the next 4 days.

Your days will be filled with game viewing activities, as well as meeting with the local guides, learn about their stories, as well as their journey on the program and be part of their on-the-job training as they guide you during your stay.

Bonus: weather permitting, you will enjoy a complimentary helicopter scenic flight during your stay.

On the last day, the road transfer will include a stop in Mabele village to visit The Vuche Vuche Basket Weaving project where you will learn and experience traditional Botswana singing, dancing and basket weaving and how to cook a traditional meal.

Say your good byes to Botswana, and travel to Zambia, where ABC has improved access to quality health care for women in the community by building a clinic fully equipped with a maternity ward that is assisting with the delivery of babies, and significantly reduce the mortality rate for mothers and children.

You will get to visit this woman-run clinic with services that include family planning. You will also visit Maunga Primary where we will join the community women in preparing and serving meals to learners at the nutrition program.

Back at camp, enjoy high tea with some of the female camp managers and staff , an opportunity to connect, share stories and inspire one another.

Your stay also includes guided activities such as game drives and a cruise on the Zambezi River with sundowner cocktails.

Say your good-byes to Zambia for the road transfer to Victoria Falls airport in Zimbabwe and the short scheduled charter flight to Hwange National park.

ABC is showing support to the women in the community through entrepreneurship and a local community garden. You will visit Mambanje Garden, Thandanani and Vukani, women-led groups that are earning a living as tailors, selling crops and making jewellery from recycled magazines and newsletters.

Days will be spent game viewing in the park and sharing stories with the various groups of women you will meet during your stay. This marks the end of the safari and we trust you will have enjoyed wonderful moments and made memories that will last a lifetime!

Last morning in the wild, you will be transferred to the airstrip for the scheduled charter flight to Victoria Falls airport. Time at leisure until your flight back home or chat to us should you wish to extend your safari.
