Day 1-3

Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Staying at Old Drift Lodge

You arrive at Victoria Falls airport and meet the lodge representative for the road transfer. Arrive at the lodge and chat to the camp manager to plan your days.

Sprawling on the banks of the Zambezi River, in the Zambezi National Park, the Old Drift Lodge is a magnificent sanctuary for the senses. Each stunning suite features contemporary décor and boasts an indoor and outdoor shower, private plunge pool and a viewing deck, ideal to observe the passing wildlife in their natural habitat.

Activities include morning and afternoon game drives, and river safaris. You can also enjoy a nature walk, learning about the art of tracking and the intricate details of the bush. Not forgetting, a guided tour of the magical Victoria Falls.

Day 4-6

Southern Hwange National Park

Staying at Verney’s Camp

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Victoria Falls airport for the short flight to Hwange. Once at the airstrip, you are met by the lodge's guide and transfer via a meandering drive (about 1 hour) to the camp.

Verney's is a superb oasis in the park and will be your home away from home for the next 3 days. The camp manager and guide will schedule your days activities as per your preferences and the animal sightings. Situated in a remote southeastern part of the Hwange National Park, the camp is on a private concession that is not open to regular Park visitors. Verney’s Camp is on a large open floodplain surrounded by mopane and teak forests. Your days will be filled with amazing sightings and the nights filled with a star stubbed sky.

Day 7-9

Matusadona National Park

Staying at Fothergill Island

Say your good-byes to Hwange and fly to Kariba and the Matusadona National Park. On arrival at the airstrip, you are met by the Fothergill team and transferred into camp.

Fothergill Island aims to maintain the rich traditions and history of the island. The camp offers a social environment where you can gather around large sitting, dining areas, the library, bar and pool areas, all perfect for relaxation and melting into the surrounding natural environment.

Activities are diverse from game drives, cruises, fishing, walks and some time to simply relax by the pool. The game viewing and photographic opportunities at Fothergill are awe-inspiring. On the plains, roaming lions prey on vast herds of antelope, zebra, and buffalo. Likewise, hippos and crocodiles traverse Kariba’s waters. Taking part in a safari cruise will offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity to see elephants playfully spraying water, or exploring further afield to the brooding Sanyati Gorge.

What better way to end the day than with sundowners at a beautiful spot on the banks of the lake, or out on the boat floating in the sun’s fading rays. Listen out for the calls of fish eagles and the heavy splash of tigerfish in the water, and reflect on another mesmerizing day in paradise.

Day 10

End Of Itinerary

it is the last day of the safari and after breakfast, you have time to say your good-byes before the transfer to the airstrip. Scheduled flight to Harare and time at leisure until your own flight out, or contact us to extend your trip with a hop to Mana Pools for example.
