Welcome to Groot Constantia, South Africa’s oldest wine farm - still producing world-renowned wines to this day. The farm dates back to 1685 when it was granted to its first owner, Simon van der Stel. Right now you’re standing in front of the the old manor house, built more than 300 years ago. Groot Constantia is located in the Constantia wine route, one of fourteen routes found throughout the Cape. Take an aerial tour of the Constantia wine region, or look out across the Cape Flats to Franschhoek. Here, you can hop aboard a wine tram, joining wine enthusiasts sampling the valley’s finest wines.
