Zimbabwe in August

By this time of year, the green landscapes have transformed to brown, with wildlife viewing at its best.

August is also a great time to visit Hwange National Park as this is a Big Five destination, although spotting black and white rhinos is rare.

Other wildlife that occurs in good numbers include giraffes, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, lions, and hyenas. You might even spot the African wild dog, cheetah, and leopard if you’re lucky enough.
