Affordable Cape Town, Kruger Safari and Victoria Falls journey

We contacted Discover Africa to help us plan my 40th birthday trip and we have no regrets. Justin organised the perfect trip and everything went so smoothly. Our trip was truly amazing and the accommodation options he suggested for us were all amazing in different ways. We would highly recommend.

We travel a lot. I don’t normally write reviews and I typically plan and book everything myself because I am very exacting when it comes to the itinerary, logistics, accommodations, activities, etc. – everything must be perfect. When planning this trip, I vetted and researched at least 10 top-rated companies (including phone interviews) and reviewed a dozen itineraries before beginning to work with Discover Africa and Susan Veldman.

We were a group of 2 couples traveling together on a complex itinerary with high expectations, a restricted amount of time, and a budget range. Susan was patient, professional, friendly, and expertly knowledgeable. She worked with all of our parameters, spent hours on Zoom calls with me, and put together a lifetime experience trip to Tanzania and several other locations that was seamless and exceptional. In addition, Susan checked in with me regularly during our trip to make sure that everything was going well.

We had it all – incredible private guides, perfectly located accommodations, a great combination of luxury and simplicity to meet our desired experience at each location, and enriching experiences.

While on the trip, I was also pleased to hear from independent local operators that Discover Africa is highly regarded in the industry as an ethical company that is one of the best.

Our Cape Town and safari adventure were absolutely top-notch! Every step of the way, from airport transportation to accommodations to provided tours in Cape Town, was outstanding and enjoyed by all members of our family travel party!

The stay and game drives at Inyati near Kruger were even more memorable (if that is even possible). Everyone had the “trip of a lifetime” and all aspects and details of the trip met and typically exceeded our expectations!

An outstanding safari trip made seamless and wonderful by Adelle at Discover Africa. From start to finish this trip was amazing, the flights were well organised our pickups and transfers were on time and comfortable. We stayed the first two nights at Jocks a private concession in Kruger and everything from the food, accomodation and our wildlife guide Patrick was out of this world.

We then transferred to Arathusa Lodge in Sabi Sands game reserve and while different experience again the accomodation, food and our tracker Adam and Guide Geoff were outstanding. Not a single complaint and felt Adelle did a wonderful job of making things easy for us when the enormous choice of accomodation options and places to stay can be overwhelming. We saw the big 5 and many other animals and I would recommend Discover Africa and Adelle to anyone I speak with!

Megan was fantastic from start to finish and planned our honeymoon exactly to our brief. Everything was excellent- communication, flexibility, transfers, hotels and safari!
Would highly recommend it!

Susan couldn’t have been more helpful when planning my trip, coming up with different ideas and itineraries to fit my budget and expectations. Communication was excellent, and when I came down with Covid just 2 days before departure, she swiftly moved to find dates for later in the year.

From getting picked up at Victoria Falls airport, to all the tours, transfers, and accommodation in both Zimbabwe and Botswana, things couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Traveling to Botswana is expensive, but worth every penny.
