Hideaways Bumbusi Wilderness Camp, a unique and private safari retreat, is located in a reclaimed corner of Hwange National Park where gorges, riverines, and hills provide an ideal setting for safari enthusiasts, particularly those who enjoy exploring on foot.
The camp is nestled beneath a lush forest of mahogany and jackalberry trees, offering a shady escape for wildlife, especially elephants during the drier season. In addition to walking safaris and game drives, a visit to the nearby Bumbusi National Monument adds a rich historical element to the experience.
The camp features 7 carefully recreated chalets that preserve the original stonework, paying homage to the region’s historical masonry. The rooms are designed with vibrant, warm hues, bold patterns, and comforting textures that capture the essence of the African bush.
Five chalets accommodate twin beds, while two feature queen-sized beds and bathtubs. The camp also offers a dining area, inside and outside lounge areas, a swimming pool, and wireless internet in the main area.
Game drives showcase diverse wildlife, while evenings are marked by the sacred tradition of sundowners, enjoyed from unique rock formations.
