Botswana Safari – Short and Sweet

The trip that was put together by Chrizaan Troch at Discover Africa was amazing. The accommodation was perfect as was the driving experience. This was our third self drive tour in Namibia and it was one of the best. Maps, accommodation, car, support all seamless.

Justin helped craft the perfect honeymoon for us! There are so many options when it comes to choosing a tour operator that I feel so fortunate we landed on Discover Africa. The experience felt seamless from start to finish. Our trip felt perfectly tailored to what we were looking for. The lodges, staff, guides, transportation, every aspect was top tier. I have just returned from my third visit to my favorite safari camps in Botswana. Each time, I have taken a different friend with me. I always tell them that Matthys van Aswegen is a master at organizing my trips, but it’s not until they actually go with me that they realize I am not exaggerating! Every detail is addressed, and any special requests I may have are always achieved.

The very best part of this trip was that I actually got to meet Matthys and his dear wife, Leri, while I was in Cape Town. I was so happy to finally have the chance to personally thank him for all he has done to provide me with the beauty and magic of Africa. I already have another trip planned for April 2025, and perhaps even another in 2026. Thank you Discover Africa and Matthys!

JJ's Safari Experience

We had an incredible safari that started perfectly at our take off airport and continued seamlessly until we arrived back home. We were taken care of by very wonderful and knowledgeable guides and the staff at the lodges were very nice. We ate great food. The safaris were excellent and each camp had a different focus that we enjoyed.

We went to Victoria Falls Safari Club, Chobe Game Lodge, Camp Xakanaxa, Camp Okavango, and Camp Leroo La Tau. We saw and learned about many animals, birds, and vegetation. We loved the variety and if I could change one thing it would be to stay longer at the camps. We have never done a safari before and Megan let us know how everything would work and that let us relax and enjoy Africa. We can not wait to return.

We also went to Cape Town and went on four activities. We enjoyed exploring the Wine Country, learning about Cape Town, and exploring the surrounding area and seeing penguins. We had a very personable and knowledgeable tour guide who made the tours fun. We also went cage diving with sharks and that was beyond belief. Megan listened to what we wanted to do and put together the trip of a lifetime. And, of course, I want to do it again.
