Botswana Safari – Short and Sweet

On arrival in Maun, you will be met by a Discover Africa representative and assisted to the waiting plane for your flight to Mma Dinare which is set on a private concession adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve. Once you have checked into the lodge and had some time to freshen up, join the game drive that sets out late afternoon.

Once you arrive back at the lodge, enjoy a lovely dinner before heading off to your luxury tent for the night.

Day and night game drives take place in the private concession, these are on and off road safaris, comprising six people, a guide and a tracker (at night). Mma Dinare also offers seasonal water activities on the Gomoti river and game walks available depending on local conditions. Overnight at the lodge on a full board basis.

After breakfast, you will be transferred by plane to Moremi Crossing, where you will stay for the next two nights.

Your day is at leisure and in the afternoon set out on the game activities that the lodge offers. Motor-boat cruises are organised in time to toast the unprecedented African sunsets while drifting on a lagoon in the middle of the Okavango Delta. Watch as the mutating colours are reflected in the smooth waters, disturbed only by dipping swallows or curious hippos.

You can join a walking safari today that will take you through the wilderness of the Delta. There is an option for a picnic while on your walking safari, enabling you to spend the day out on safari.

The other option is a Mokoro excursion that will let you immerse yourself in the daily life on the Delta, watching the wildlife like hippos and crocodiles. The bird life is some of the best in the area, and even if you aren't a keen birder, you'll leave a little more excited about birds than when you first arrived.

Enjoy your last night in the Delta with a lovely dinner and your fellow travellers, who may have become fast friends.

Once you have checked out, you'll once again be assisted to the waiting plane and flown back to Maun.
