Moru update – still dry as the herds mingle around water holes

HerdTracker update 13 Mar 2015 by Elewana Collection’s Serengeti Pioneer Camp

Hi Carel,

A huge herd of wildebeest – at least 10,000 strong is currently 15 minutes drive away from Serengeti Pioneer Camp.

The herds are moving from Moru area to around Pioneer camp / Lake Magadi. We have not had rain for a long time, everything is very dry and the wildebeest are in search of fresh grass and water. I have sent the rainfall of the last 4 months, February/March really dry.

Regards,
Tom
