Situated beneath the riverine canopy along the Ntungwe River, Ishasha Wilderness Camp is a secluded, low-impact retreat in the remote southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. With just ten safari-style tents, this is a small and intimate camp, surrounded by rich wildlife.
The thatched central lounge and dining area opens out to the river, offering a relaxed setting for meals, while open-air dining and sundowners by the campfire invite you to unwind under the stars. A self-service tea and coffee station is available throughout the day, and you’ll wake each morning to a hot beverage brought to your verandah.
Elephant, buffalo, and resident troops of colobus and vervet monkeys move freely through the camp, and if you’re lucky, you might spot one of the area’s famed tree-climbing lions in the surrounding fig trees.
