South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi Safari

Arrive at the airstrip and transfer Shawa camp, where you will stay 3x nights including your meals, selected beverages and the game drives in special e-vehicles. Slow down to nature’s pace as your knowledgeable guide and armed scout leads you on a bush walk that immerses you in incredible landscapes that are rich in diverse plant, animal and bird life.

Shawa Camp is overlooks the Luangwa River in the Nsefu Sector. This is one of the park’s most untouched areas where there is excellent game viewing and astonishing habitat diversity.

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip on time for the scheduled charter flight to the Lower Zambezi (could be with several hops depending on the flight schedule). Arrive at the airstrip and meet you guide for the transfer to Sausage Tree Camp, your home for the next 3 nights. You have a private vehicle and guide during your stay, all meals and selected beverages are included.

The location within the Lower Zambezi National Park allows for truly immersive safari experiences, not only on land by four-wheel game-viewing vehicles, but also on foot and even by boat or canoe. And with expert private guides and “Muchindas” (butlers) to see to your every need, you can be assured of world-class service.

When night falls, you may spot nocturnal predators like the elusive leopard, delicate civet, or big-eared genet is at night. Prides of lions also tend to be more active, and you may even spot a porcupine or giant eagle owl.

Last morning in the bush, have a leisurely breakfast before the transfer to the airstrip and the scheduled charter flight to Lusaka. Time at leisure until your onward flight or contact us to extend your trip, you can add Kafue, fly to Victoria Falls or a few days on an island in Malawi for example.
