Day 1 -3

Cape Town

Staying at Queen Victoria Hotel

Arrive in Cape Town and collect the vehicle at the car rental counter. We will provide you with the directions to your hotels, a local map can be provided on request. Should you be using a digital map, please chat to the hotel concierge to ensure you have the correct routing. You will spend 3 nights at the Queen Victoria Hotel including your breakfasts. Your days are at leisure to explore the area - from the vibrant city center, to Cape Point with a visit to the penguins and Kirstenbosch. A day can be spent in the winelands with a hop on train journey in Franschhoek. Weather permitting, spend some time at the beach. If you want to stay active, there is kayaking, hiking up Table Mountain, rent a bike along the promenade or simply lounge at the pool.

Day 4-5

Plettenberg Bay

Staying at Periwinkle Guest Lodge

Depart early for the drive through George, Knysna, and Plettenberg Bay to arrive late afternoon in the famous coastal town. Spend two nights at The Periwinkle guest house, a great base from which to relax and enjoy the beach and the warm water of the Indian Ocean. Enjoy walking on the long white sandy beach, watch the surfers making the most of the waves, spot the dolphins, or hop on a boat for an excursion while being located a few minutes from the center of the town … you will love your stay in Plett, as the locals call the city.

Day 6

Port Elizabeth

Staying at The Beach Hotel

Today is a drive to "the end" of the Garden Route with the windy city, Port Elizabeth, now called Gqeberha. This is a convenient stop before the flight early next morning. It allows you to do some shopping and rest in between the activities. There is also a long beach right by the hotel that is known for wonderful sunsets. Overnight at the Beach Hotel.

Day 7-9

Kapama Private Game Reserve

Staying at Kapama Southern Camp

Return the car to the airport on time for your flight to Hoedspruit (via Johannesburg). Arrive in Hoedspruit for the shuttle into camp, not too far away. The next 3 nights are spent at Kapama Southern Camp, including all your meals, local beverages, and 2 game drives per day. Early morning and early evening are the best time of day for game viewing. Spotting an elusive cheetah retiring for the day, a dazzle of zebras starting their day, or hearing the call of Guinea fowl as the day ends means two game drives are never the same and offer different experiences at different times. What you see in the morning, afternoon, or evening will differ from season to season and day to day. Back at camp, you can relax on your private patio or swim at the pool.

End Of Itinerary

The holidays are coming to an end; after breakfast transfer back to the airport on time for your flight to Johannesburg (flight included). Time at leisure until your onward flight or contact us to extend your trip with a few days to Victoria Falls for example.
