Mountain gorillas can be found in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Because of a new partnership between local people, national parks, and visitors trekking to see gorillas, the number of gorillas is increasing.
Gorilla trekking is one of Africa’s most unique and remarkable experiences: see wild gorillas in their native environment, with no fences or any human interference other than mild acclimatization to human presence in the jungle.
Uganda is also a well-known bird-watching location, having a diverse range of exotic migratory and resident species. It provides the greatest on-foot chimp interactions in Africa at Kibale Forest, as well as unusual combo safaris in Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Parks with big game and big primates.
