Our first safari trip was even better than we had hoped for, due in large part to Discover Africa’s excellent tour operator, Matthys van Aswegen. Matthys was unbelievably patient in helping us plan the trip we wanted, arranging for everything beforehand, and answering our endless questions, which I am sure he had heard a thousand times, as if he was hearing them for the first time.
Discover Africa came very highly recommended to us by Sabi Sabi, one of the premier lodges in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, which gave us confidence that they were not only a reputable company, but that they really knew what they were doing. And they did!
There were absolutely no surprises on the trip, all reservations were confirmed ahead of time, the Sabi Sabi Selati Camp where we stayed was top-notch all the way, with an extraordinary staff, knowledgeable guides and trackers, and food and accommodations that were absolutely five-star.
