MalaMala Game Reserve offers a comfortable base for an African safari for seniors

Depart Johannesburg Airport on a scheduled flight to Skukuza airport, located in the Kruger National Park. On arrival you will be met by a representative from Mala Mala and transferred to the lodge - the transfer is approximately 1 hour.

On arrival and after settling in you can start your game viewing experience with your sunset game drive. Mala Mala Camp is a haven of understated luxury combining warm comfort and superb service with unrivalled views of the Sand River and surrounding bushveld. It is truly a place of legends where rare photographs, old maps and extraordinary mementos rub shoulders with the works of renowned contemporary wildlife artists.

Two full days to enjoy the wildlife experience that Mala Mala has to offer. There is no shared traversing on 70% of the Mala Mala property allowing you to enjoy exclusive, uninterrupted game drives. There is no time limit on sightings and no “queue-to-view” on this enormous tract of land. Your knowledgeable ranger will guide you during your safari adventure and you can tick off the animals on game drive, or back at the lodge on the expansive wooden safari deck, in the shade of a Jackalberry tree, overlooking the Sand River. When not on exploration in the bush, you can relax at the swimming pool and enjoy the delicious meals prepared with the freshest products, and accompanied by world class wines.

This morning enjoy your final game drive at Mala Mala followed by breakfast and then a transfer to the Skukuza airport for your return flight back to Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport. Time at leisure at the airport until your onward flight or contact us to extend your safari.

Mala Mala Game Reserve is one of the largest private Big Five game reserve in South Africa. Comprising 13 300 ha (33 000 acres), Mala Mala shares a 19 km (12 mile) unfenced border with the world-renowned Kruger National Park, and lies strategically sandwiched between the National Park and the Sabi Sand Reserve.

Every aspect of the Main Camp and Sable Camp is designed to appreciate and enjoy the view of the surrounding wilds. Pathways wind their way along the perimeter of the camp to reveal individual ochre colored units tucked into the greenery which flanks the Sand River. Massive trees and rolling green lawns are filled with birdsong, with the occasional antelope or elephant which seeks the succulence of greenery.
