Day 1-2

NamibRand Nature Reserve

Staying at Kwessi Dunes

Arrive at Windhoek Airport and meet with our team for the first scheduled flight to reach the Namib Rand Nature Reserve. Depending on your flight times, you might require a pre-night in Windhoek, contact us for options.

Arrive at the camp, spend some time at leisure and explore the area before dinner under the night sky filled with stars. In the Sossusvlei and NamibRand area, keep a lookout for springbok and oryx, as well as some of the rarer creatures like aardwolf. If you’ve got a penchant for birdlife, ask your guide to find the endemic dune lark, which is found nowhere but Namibia.

The next day will be spent exploring the magical NamibRand and Sossuvlei area. Whether you want to embark on all the activities, or just soak up the magic of the area, this is a day to remember.

Day 3-4

Hoanib River

Staying at Hoanib Valley Camp

Hop back on the plane for a scenic flight over the famous Eduard Bohlen shipwreck, Conception Bay and Sandwich Harbour, before touching down in Swakopmund for lunch. Then, it’s onward to Hoanib Valley Camp, over the dramatic Skeleton Coast and then inland to the beautiful interior of the country.

You will have time to look for desert-adapted giraffes, game driving through the sandy terrain or visiting the local Himba communities. You may also be lucky enough to spot desert lion and rhino.

Day 5-6

Skeleton Coast

Staying at Shipwreck Lodge

If you think Hoanib was remote, wait until you reach your next destination, and the road transfer is an experience on its own. You’ll pass incredible rock formations and desert-elephant digging for water, before arriving at the crashing waves and rolling dunes of the Skeleton Coast. Be prepared to be mesmerized by this unique landscape.

Activities on offer include quad biking, visits to the Clay Castle and seal colony and game drives – or you may like to just put your feet up and admire the views. At Shipwreck Lodge, expect giraffe, lion, baboons, elephant and elusive brown hyena in the dunes, whilst at the coast you’ll find hundreds of Cape fur seals at the Mowe Bay Seal Colony, and plenty of birds flitting through the chilly ocean spray.

Day 7-8

Etosha Heights Private Reserve

Staying at Etosha Mountain Lodge

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for the flight to Etosha Heights Private Reserve. The next 2 days will be filled with game viewing and relaxing at the camp.

Think morning and afternoon game drives in the private reserve, a former hunting concession that has been rehabilitated into a photographic safari area. Go out in search of big cats and watch for signs of elephant on the horizon; watch all the action at the waterhole in front of camp; hop on a night drive with some of the best guides out there; and, look out for the endangered rhinos.
