Cape Town, Sabi Sand Safari and Victoria Falls Honeymoon

Justin helped us with the safari and Victoria Falls portion of our trip to South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. The lodges were fantastic and ground transfers perfectly executed. We had an amazing time!

We have just returned from a trip to 3 different safari camps in Botswana, a short trip to Victoria Falls and a gorilla trek in Rwanda that was booked with Susan from Discover Africa. We couldn’t be happier with the direction and support she gave us to truly make it a trip of a lifetime.

Although the three camps she booked for us were geographically quite close, they were very different in the wildlife viewing experiences, with different focuses for each (we were at camp Okavango, Xakanaxa camp and Chobe Game Lodge). We saw all the animals and birds we dreamed of seeing in Africa with the exception of the rhino as conservation efforts are currently underway and they are located only in central Botswana at this time. The accommodation was incredible at all of them, the food delicious and the staff exceptional. Such lovely, welcoming people.

Rwanda was an absolute favorite and not just for the amazing gorillas. The country is lush and beautiful, the people warm and welcoming and the Bishops house hotel was incredible.

Susan coordinated all of our bookings and when one of the airlines cancelled our flight within hours of our flying, she was completely on it and got us re-booked and on our way, even arriving an hour earlier than the previously scheduled flight. We would definitely book with Susan and Discover Africa again.

Discover Africa took my husband’s outline of where we were interested in travelling and turned it into a fantastic trip. Diane at Discover Africa recommended the lodges we stayed at in South Africa, Zambia, and Botswana, and all were first-rate. Each place had something special about it, and each had wonderful safari guides. We had an amazing two weeks and can recommend Discover Africa Safaris without qualification. Vihann was my point-of-contact and designed my tour, listened to all my needs and patiently adjusted things as I asked for. In any case what was offered in terms of the lodges (I went to luxury end) were already unquestionably good and exciting. It seems Discover Africa understands the needs of the clients well, as far my experience goes. The entire itinerary was outstanding and on-ground experience exactly reflected what was promised!!

On the whole, it was truly a smooth experience without worries. Everything was organized from point-to-point and everyone made sure, I was transitioned between activities, flights, countries, lodges safely, so it goes without saying that using them was a good value for money.

Megan Warrington from Discover Africa was awesome. I actually used two different operators for safaris (Megan for South Africa and another for Botswana) and she was a lot more timely, helpful and organized. Also, Megan can handle your bookings in Botswana as well so in hindsight, I should have used her for all my travels!
