Best of Zambia Safari

Your safari starts at Lusaka airport. On arrival, connect with the scheduled flight to Mfuwe Airstrip. Meet with your ranger and transfer to the camp where you will spend the next 3 nights exploring this incredible and diverse area. Arrive at Chinzombo, located across from the National Park, in one of the most game-rich areas of South Luangwa National Park. Take a boat across the river with your experienced guide for a game drive, safari walk or boat cruise (seasonal) to catch sight of lions, leopards and other predator action. Your stay includes your meals, selected beverages, laundry and all scheduled shared activities. 

You have two full days to explore this untouched wilderness area. This area is renowned for its walking safari, which allows you to view wildlife close-up under the supervision of professional and knowledgeable armed guides. Nearby, a wildlife hide overlooks a lively oxbow lagoon—perfect for photography. Your days will be filled with amazing game viewing experiences. Back at the lodge, you can lounge on the riverfront sun deck with a book from the open-air library. You will enjoy dinner under the stars, made with fresh produce .

Today you bid the South Luangwa farewell as you head to your next destination, the Lower Zambezi National Park. You will be transferred to Mfuwe airstrip and then be flown to Royal Airstrip where you will then be transferred to Chongwe River Camp, your home for the next three nights. The small number of camps in Lower Zambezi National Park keep it free from overcrowding. The area is best known for its impressive variety of safari activities – enjoy drives to walking safaris, or take to the rivers on a boat cruise or canoeing safari, or try your hand at tiger fishing.

The Lower Zambezi National Park is the newest of Zambia’s exceptional, undeveloped wildlife areas. Most activities are concentrated along the Zambezi as this is what draws the animals and aside from game drives and walking safaris the area offers canoe trips and tiger fishing. Your stay includes all your meals, selected beverages and a range of activities: game drives (day and night), walking safaris, cultural visits, canoeing (seasonal) and boat cruises (seasonal).

Enjoy your last breakfast in the wilderness, and transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Lusaka.
