Is the Angama Amboseli for Me?
Opening in November 2023, Angama Amboseli is an intimate lodge in the heart of the 5,700-acre private Kimana Sanctuary and the shadows of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Set within a forest of towering fever trees where some of Africa’s last Super Tuskers roam — elephants with tusks so large they sweep along the ground as they walk — Angama Amboseli is a gentle start or finish to any East African Safari.
With just 10 tented suites (including two sets of interleading family units), it’s an intimate lodge with all of Angama’s signatures: incredible views, contemporary African design, intuitive guiding and warm Kenyan service.
The Guest Area features indoor-outdoor dining with an expansive baraza and a sundowner fire pit.
The Studios houses a safari shop, a fun games room for the whole family, a gallery and makers’ studio for Kenyan artisans, along with a photography studio.
The focal point is the rim-flow swimming pool fronted by a drinking trough for elephants — and Kili’s snow-capped peak in the distance.
