Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Staying at Tau Pan

Your journey starts in Maun with a light aircraft flight down to the Central Kalahari where you will spend the next two nights enjoying this incredible and diverse area. Tau Pan is the first semi-permanent camp inside the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and offers incredible views from the elevated ridge of an ancient sand dune, an unusual experience in a land as flat as Botswana, and overlooks the famous Tau Pan - recognised for its stark beauty and remoteness.

Day 2

Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Staying at Tau Pan

Activities offered at Tau Pan are game drives, star gazing, and nature walks with Bushman trackers. Optional activities (at an extra cost) also include days trips to the well-known Deception Valley, Sunday, Piper and Passarge Pans. Species that can be found in the Kalahari include oryx, the desert-adapted springbok, jackals, the rare brown hyena, red-crested Korhaan and herds of wildebeest.

Day 3

Private Kwara Reserve

Staying at Kwando Splash Camp

Today, you will depart the semi-arid Kalahari by light aircraft and and head to Kwando Splash Camp, located in the heart of the Okavango Delta, within the Private Kwara Reserve. The Kwara Reserve shares a 30 km water boundary with the famous Moremi Game Reserve and its unique location boasts both permanent water and seasonal flood plains as well as extensive dry bush wilderness.

Private Kwara Reserve

Staying at Kwando Splash Camp

Located around a pan, each of the 12 rooms is situated on a deck overlooking the pan which attracts game year round. Enjoy the activities on offer which includes game drives (including night drives), mokoro excursions, boat activities, walking safaris and seasonal fishing.

Kwando Private Reserve

Staying at Lagoon

Today you make your way by light aircraft to your next incredible destination in Botswana, the Kwando Lagoon Camp located on the banks of the wild Kwando River. The area has a well-earned reputation for big game and large herds of elephant and buffalo. This vast concentration of game attracts the attention of large predators.

Day 7

Kwando Private Reserve

Staying at Lagoon

Activities include game drives, walks, seasonal fishing and boat cruises - The unique double deck boat allows several guests the opportunity to drift along the river while enjoying spectacular views, mammal and bird life while sipping at your 'sundowner' of choice.

The Lagoon wild dog pack regularly den close to the camp and the excellent viewing opportunities have led to Lagoon's reputation as the place to see wild dog in Botswana.

End Of Itinerary

This morning enjoy your final morning game activity before being flown by light aircraft back to Maun Airport where your journey ends. Here you can connect to onward destinations.
