Best of Botswana

Working with Susan made our experience just perfect. She has everything organized and it all went so well. Her recommendations were perfect. We loved the safaris she chose, the lodges, guides, staff and the experience were wonderful.

Just returned from the best trip ever, my family agrees the experience on safari was life changing! Our heartfelt thanks go to Cayleigh Brown at Discover Africa, who managed to answer every question in a most efficient, timely, patient, and professional manner. And our questions were plentiful :). Our time spent in Cape Town, Botswana, and Victoria Falls were full of adventure, and fun times. Can’t say enough about the culture, knowledge, and kindness of the people who work at these safari camps.

They simply want to serve their guests in the best way possible, just like Cayleigh. Not to mention the animals were plentiful and most entertaining! 5 star service in every way! Keep doing what you’re doing Discover Africa, so as to keep bringing travelers to this magnificent area of the world!

We had a fantastic experience with Discover Africa. Barry was so knowledgeable and helped us find the perfect lodge. His advice was spot on, and the lodge we chose (the one he recommended) exceeded all expectations. From arrival to departure, every need was anticipated and met, and the staff instantly felt like family.

We were sad to leave, especially our host and our guide. The food was some of the best we have ever eaten; the room was gorgeous; and each day brought new adventures. In fact, we kept thinking it couldn’t any better— and then it did! We couldn’t have been happier with our experience and we look forward to our next trip.

We had the absolute best experience with Megan from Discover Africa during our two-week journey through Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. From the moment we began planning our trip, Megan demonstrated an extraordinary level of professionalism and dedication that transformed our vacation into a truly magical experience.

Okavango Delta, Hwange, Sossusvlei & Swakopmund Safari Adventure

The lodges we stayed in were absolutely gorgeous, each offering a unique window into the breathtaking African landscape. We were consistently surrounded by an amazing community that made us feel welcome and connected to the heart of Africa. This wasn’t just a vacation – it was a profound, life-changing experience filled with moments of deep reflection, uncontrollable laughter, and genuine smiles.

Take this journey if you can; just beware, you may be tempted to turn Africa into your only travel destination.

My husband and I went to Southern Africa for our honeymoon and it was unbelievable and truly the trip of our dreams. We wanted to visit Cape Town, Botswana, and Zimbabwe on a middle range budget but still getting as nice of things as possible and Megan made it happen. Megan was so on top of everything and so organized I couldn’t believe it! I felt so safe knowing that we were in her hands.

We stayed at the Victoria and Alfred hotel right on the waterfront and got to see the penguins and national parks in Cape Town. Then, in Botswana we did safaris in both the Okavango Delta and Chobe. We stayed at Kadizora Camp in the Delta first. This camp was so quaint, beautiful, peaceful, secluded, and the food and staff were beyond amazing. We didn’t see even one other jeep while we were out and saw the big 5 minus Rhinos which don’t live in that area.

The second place we stayed was Elephant Valley Lodge in Chobe and the there was a watering hole right in front of the camp where elephants and other animals would come to drink right in front of the camp that you could enjoy while drinking coffee or eating dinner. We also saw 3/5 there minus cheetahs and rhinos. This view was incredible and made the camp so special.

In Zimbabwe we saw the breathtaking Victoria Falls and did the funnest zip line. Even though we had several COVID tests while we were there it was all worth it and we respected each country keeping their people safe but still allowing us to visit. I cannot say enough about Megan she is truly incredible and we will be using her when we come back to different parts of Africa.

It took one e-mail to Discover Africa (very friendly and competent staff), one phone call for details and one phone call for minor modifications and in the end we had a perfect holiday experience – a magical Botswana safari as they titled it. The self-driving tour (4×4 camper) included Kalahari, the pans, Okavango, Victoria falls, Tuli block.

In detail we have been at some fantastic spots we would have missed without their recommendations. The pre-organized accommodation (on campgrounds in our camper, in tented camps, in hotels and in luxury safari lodges) turned out as a mixture tailored to us.
