Is the Walking Wild for Me?
Walking Wild offers an immersive, community-owned safari experience in northern Kenya’s Il Ngwesi Community Ranch. This unique adventure allows you to explore the abundant wildlife and rich cultural heritage of the region on foot, guided by local experts with a lifetime of experience coexisting with the area’s fauna.
Walking Wild provides 3 to 5-night fly camping experiences, on a private basis, for a family or a group of friends traveling together. Trek through diverse landscapes, accompanied by Maasai and professional safari guides, while camels transport your luggage and camp equipment.
Each night, a new fly camp is set up in a different location, featuring netted dome tents with comfortable bedrolls and bucket showers.
Evenings are spent enjoying sundowners, dining under the stars, and gathering around the campfire with Maasai hosts. For an added touch of fun, you can even challenge their hosts to Maasai Olympics in dry riverbeds.
