Affordable Serengeti & Masai Mara Migration Safari

When you arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport, you are met and transferred to Arusha Villa.

Spend the day at leisure to relax and prepare for your safari.

You can stroll through the gardens with spectacular views of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. Multiple terraces offer plenty of room for reading and dozing off whilst enjoying the African sun. The swimming pool is there to cool you down for the warmer days!

We can also book optional day tours, such as a guided tour of the town, a coffee plantation, or a game drive in Arusha National Park. There are many options.

After breakfast, meet your safari guide and depart for an amazing adventure filled with spectacular scenery and wildlife encounters.

Today, you will spend a few hours in Lake Manyara National Park. The Rift Valley escarpment wall gives the Park a spectacular view. Famous for its tree-climbing lions, the Park's underground water forest supports many animals, especially primates.

For birdwatchers, the Park is a paradise, with more than 350 species of birds identified.

Drive through to Karatu for the night at Ngorongoro Farm House.

Today is dedicated to a game drive inside the famous Ngorongoro Crater.

The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world’s most breathtaking natural wonders, offering a front-row seat to Africa’s timeless beauty. This ancient caldera is nearly three million years old and shelters an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, making it a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Endangered black rhinos roam within the crater’s protective rim, while majestic elephants with towering tusks wander through its verdant forests. With ever-changing views, as mists swirl over this expansive natural sanctuary, the scenery transforms with every moment.

Return to Ngorongoro Farmhouse late afternoon, enjoy a delicious diner and prepare for the flight to the Serengeti the next day.

Transfer to Lake Manyara Airstrip, say goodbye to your guide and fly to the north of Serengeti.

On arrival at Kogatende, you are met by the camp's guide and transferred to Nasikia Mobile Camp.

Located in the far northern areas of the Serengeti, the camp is ideal for reaching different regions, such as Kogatende and Bologonja, and is not too far from the Mara Rivers. This is typically ideal, especially between mid-July and mid-September each year, to gain a view of the herds running the gauntlet of crocodiles as they cross the water.

You have two full days to explore the area, and, should you be lucky, watch the Great Migration crossing the river.

After breakfast, transfer to Kogatende airstrip for the flight to the Mara (via Tarime and Migori).

On arrival at Mara Kiombo, you will be met by the camp's safari guide and transferred to Basecamp Mara.

Bordering the Masai Mara National Reserve and hidden away under thatched roofs on a lush peninsula along the Talek River, the camp offers great views of the savannah, always populated by wildlife.

Following recent refurbishments, each tent has been meticulously designed to provide an unparalleled blend of comfort and style. It features a plush bed, chic furnishing, and modern ensuite bathroom. In addition, there is a private terrace with views towards the Talek river bed and the Masai Mara National Reserve.

You have two full days to explore the area with the scheduled shared game drives.

The Masai Mara is famous for its unique concentration of wildlife, birds, rich vegetation and open savannah. From July to October, the massed herds of the Great Wildebeest Migration pass through the Mara, with over two million animals making their way north towards the Mara River crossings, in search of water and grazing.

After breakfast, you are transferred back to the airstrip, for the flight to Wilson Airport.

Upon arrival at Wilson airport, you are met and transferred by road to NBO - Jomo Kenyatta for your flight back home. Alternatively, we can extend your safari by a few days in Laikipia, Amboseli, or a few days at the beach.
