Day 1

Okavango Delta

Staying at Kanana

The safari starts in Maun. You are met at the airport and assisted for the check in of the local flight to your lodge.

Your adventure begins as you touch down on the Kanana airstrip after a scenic flight from Maun. On arrival, your guide welcomes you and whisks you away through the bush to camp. After settling into your spacious, canvas tent, you have time to relax on your private deck with a view over the wetlands. That afternoon, you head out on your first safari—perhaps a gentle mokoro excursion through lily-dappled channels (water level dependent) or a guided walk in search of rare birds. As the sun sets, you return to camp for a candlelit dinner beneath the stars.

Day 2

Okavango Delta

Staying at Kanana

You wake to the sounds of the Delta coming alive: distant hippos grunting, the call of fish eagles echoing overhead. After a light breakfast, you head out for your morning game viewing activity. Your guide shares insights into the Delta’s seasonal rhythms and the intricate ecosystems of this watery paradise. Later, enjoy brunch back at camp and some time to rest. In the afternoon, a game drive offers the chance to spot lechwe bounding through the shallows and elephants feeding at the water’s edge. Return to camp for a delicious dinner under the stars.

Okavango Delta

Staying at Shinde

After breakfast, you bid farewell to Kanana and board a short flight to Shinde Camp, your home for the next two nights. From the air, the patchwork of lagoons, islands, and channels is breathtaking. On arrival, you’re met by your Shinde guide and taken to camp, where the elevated walkways and tranquil lagoon views immediately captivate. That afternoon, you embark on a game drive through the woodlands, where you might encounter lion, giraffe, and the elusive leopard. The evening brings a warm fire, gourmet dining, and the sounds of the bush as your nighttime soundtrack.

Day 4

Okavango Delta

Staying at Shinde

Today is another day of exploration. Rise early for a sunrise game drive, perhaps catching a pack of wild dogs on the move or watching a pride of lions as they finish a night’s hunt. Return for breakfast, followed by a leisurely mokoro outing or motorboat cruise through the lagoons—perfect for photography and quiet observation. In the afternoon, you might opt for a walk with your guide, learning about the tracks and signs of the Delta, or experience a night drive revealing a different world: bush babies, genets, and other nocturnal creatures come to life.

Day 5

End of Itinerary

On your final morning, savor one last sunrise and a relaxed breakfast before your transfer back to the airstrip. As your flight lifts off, you watch the Delta stretch out beneath you—its stillness, its life, and its beauty etched into your memory long after you’ve left.
