Day 1

Naivasha

Staying at Loldia House

Arrive at NBO airport, exit the terminal and meet with our driver. Road transfer to Loldia House. Depending on your arrival flight you might require a pre night in Nairobi, please contact us for additional options.

Loldia House is an original Kenyan home set on an old farm on the shores of Lake Naivasha. You will enjoy a boat excursion on Lake Navoisha and the next day a game drive in Lake Nakuru National park. You will depart from Loldia after an early breakfast and enjoy a drive through the Rift Valley.

Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya’s smaller National Parks, yet it is one of the most beautiful. The park is abundant with a wide variety of wildlife, large numbers of rhino and both Great and Lesser Flamingoes. Enjoy game viewing around the park with a sumptuous picnic lunch before the return to Loldia House.

Mugie Wildlife Conservancy

Staying at Governors’ Mugie House

After breakfast, road transfer to Laikipia region for 3 nights at Mugie's Manor. Governors’ Mugie is located in the northern end of Mugie Conservancy, a private wildlife conservancy in Laikipia of almost 50’000 acres hosting an array of impactful community and conservation programs. The Conservancy is at the forefront of conservation, operating as a low-impact cattle ranch alongside preserving the delicate and productive eco-systems that host abundant wildlife.

Explore the varying landscape of Mugie, from the dam to olive tree forests and acacia scrubland, host to a wealth of diverse wildlife, including northern endemic species Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest, reticulated giraffe and beisa oryx. Mugie Dam is Kenya’s third largest private dam with 156 acres of surface area to explore. The dam welcomes a variety of game which comes to drink or graze along the shore – especially elephants that are partial to a playful dip in its refreshing waters. You can enjoy the canoes during an early morning’s entertainment. Canoeing on the dam offers a thrilling opportunity to view wildlife from the water, out in the open air, armed with the spirit of adventure. This is a slow safari start with plenty of fresh air, calm afternoons to relax and enjoying dinners under a star filled sky.

Day 6-8

Masai Mara National Reserve

Staying at Governors’ Camp

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip and fly to the Mara. Your next stay will be filled with amazing game viewing opportunities, including loads of predators.

Arrive in the Mara and meet with your safari guide for a short road transfer to camp. Your 3 night stay at Governor's include your meals, selected local beverages and two shared game drives per day. You can chat to your guide to set your days, usually the drives are early morning and later in the afternoon, times when it is best to view the local wildlife; it is also possible to go for the day with a packed breakfast. During the season (August-Sept), you will be in the right location to view the Great Migration, that is typically in this area, depending on the herds movement.

Situated in the southwest of Kenya, covering an area of 1,510 square km (583 square miles), the Masai Mara National Reserve is a land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. The reserve has an abundance of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion and cheetah, while leopards are frequently encountered, endangered black rhino hide in the dense thickets and large rafts of hippo and enormous crocodiles are found in the Mara River. The park is also home to over 450 bird species.

Day 9

End Of Itinerary

Last morning in the bush, enjoy breakfast at the camp before the transfer back to the airstrip. Your return flight to Wilson is included, as well as the road transfer to Jomo Kenyatta airport (NBO). Time at leisure at the airport for your onward flight or contact us to extend your trip.
