Southern Africa Honeymoon Safari Review

We booked our honeymoon through Susan at Discover Africa and had a fabulous experience. The number of choices for lodges, activities, and places to go in southern Africa were overwhelming at first glance, and we found it really useful to have an experienced local talk us through some recommendations. They were very helpful and provided a range of options based on price and desired comfort level. In the end, we decided on going to South Africa, Zimbabwe (Vic Falls), and Botswana across a 2.5-week period. The organisation of the tour was amazing, with Discover Africa providing a detailed itinerary and making all bookings ahead of time.

We didn’t ever need to worry about looking for taxis, which was particularly useful when arriving at the airport in a new country for the first time. Susan checked in with us via WhatsApp every couple days to make sure that everything was going smoothly and quickly responded to any of our questions. My wife and I agreed that one of the best things about doing the trip with Discover Africa was that they helped us book accommodations that were more intimate, which made the honeymoon really special. The safaris, the views, the food, and tours were all amazing – a small taste of southern Africa that has made us want to come back as soon as we can. Thanks to Susan and the team for a great trip!
