Is the Ndutu Wilderness Camp for Me?
Located in the southern Serengeti ecosystem, Ndutu Wilderness Camp is a seasonal retreat open from December to March, aligning perfectly with the calving season of the Great Migration. This small camp offers a front-row seat to one of nature’s most dramatic events.
Each of the ten tents is designed with simplicity and comfort in mind. You’ll find cosy beds, en-suite bathrooms with gravity-fed showers, and private verandahs that look out onto the surrounding plains. A dedicated family unit welcomes those travelling with children.
Between game drives, you are invited to relax in the lounge tent with a book or a drink, or gather around the campfire as the sun dips behind the horizon. Meals are wholesome and enjoyed either in the open-air or dining tent, with local produce and a selection of house drinks included. The camp is solar-powered and built with sustainability at its core.
Ndutu is rich in both wildlife and birdlife — a magnet for predators, photographers and birders alike. This unfenced, off-the-grid experience is ideal for adventurous couples, seasoned safari-goers, and anyone looking to witness the magic of the migration away from the crowds.
