Your 5-Day Itinerary

Arrive at Maun airport on time for your scheduled charter flight to the camp. Arrive at the airstrip, road transfer via meandering game drive to the camp. Afternoon game activity and dinner. Your 2 night stay includes all meals, selected beverages and the scheduled game viewing activities. Zarafa Camp is located on the private 130,000-hectare (320,000-acre) Selinda Reserve. The Selinda Reserve links Botswana’s Okavango Delta with the Linyanti waterways, and every area of the camp offers stunning views over the Zibadianja Lagoon, the source of the Savuti Channel. The private Selinda Reserve is home to leopard, lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, red lechwe, zebra and giraffe. It is also a refuge for some uncommon species, such as African wild dogs, roan and sable. And for birders, the nearby African skimmer colony is a highlight. From camp, hippos are visible in the Lagoon, and elephants wander through regularly.

Transfer to the airstrip on time for the scheduled charter inter camp flight. On your arrival, short transfer via meandering game drive to the camp. Your 2 night stay includes all meals, selected beverages and the scheduled game viewing activities. The private 33,000-hectare Duba Plains reserve is a matrix of palm-dotted islands, flood plains and woodland. This is the area that Great Plains Conservation co-founders, National Geographic filmmakers, conservationists and explorers Dereck and Beverly Joubert chose for their home base for filming. Duba Plains prides itself on its extraordinary Botswana safari wildlife experiences. Here you will enjoy intimate and up-close wildlife viewing opportunities, from lions and leopards to elephants, lechwe, buffalo and everything in between. Duba Plains is also known for interesting Kalahari species like aardwolf and pangolins.

Duba Plains Camp

Duba Plains Camp, located in the northern reaches of Botswana’s famed Okavango Delta and just north of the Moremi Game Reserve, is a private 77,000-acre reserve. Inaccessible for most of the year by any means other than aircraft, it is this remoteness that solidifies Duba Plains as the soul of ‘wild Africa’.

Duba offers just 12 guests an idyllic all-round Okavango experience throughout the year, with vast, seasonally inundated floodplains, which are home to huge herds of buffalo being a highlight. Complemented by permanent channels and a number of larger wooded islands, wildlife diversity is guaranteed. This camp prides itself on the intimacy of ‘home’ with all the touches of personal service and superb safari experiences.
