Kambaku is small (10 rooms, 28 guests at maximum), yet multiple times awarded, family-run lodge nestled on the foot of the Waterberg Plateau. Our entire team aims with the greatest passion for the well-being and happiness of our guests. Attentive and friendly, but not obtrusive, we offer a five-star service with an eye for details, where your every need is anticipated. Besides the quality time for relaxation in our big garden with pool and special meditation/yoga area, fireplace with a view on a frequented water hole (lightened at night), hammocks and sunbeds underneath acacia trees, our guests appreciate our fervour for good cooking.

Quality ingredients like fresh vegetables from our kitchen garden and meat from the reserve, wonderful Mediterranean recipes and home-made bread and more, selected wines of Southern Africa and stylishly decorated places guarantee a touch of haute cuisine at lunch and dinner under a star-studded sky. So it’s all set for perfect indulgence in the heart of Namibia.

Days are spent in the bush as or full-board accommodation includes guided wildlife activities twice per day: In the mornings, when the sun is rising and an early morning tea with a scone was served, and in the later afternoon's guests may choose their favourite activity of 2-3 adventurous offers (nature walks, game drives, observations at waterholes/hides with guides and more). In addition, nature lovers may also take part in training sessions at our FGASA accredited Wildlife College to deepen their knowledge about African wildlife after breakfast. 60 km of marked hiking trails lead your way through the bush, with lookouts and hides to pause and observe animals for a while.

Mountain bikes of all sizes and hiking maps are provided free of charge. Children will find a wonderful playground in the shadow of an old acacia tree and a special kiddies program during school holidays. Also table-tennis, beach volleyball archery and clay pigeon shooting also the more active guests won’t get bored at Kambaku. Horse riders find a riding stable with 25 trail well-trained trail horses to experience the savannah on horseback or increase their riding skills in personal riding lessons with professional riding instructors.
