South Luangwa National Park

Staying at Puku Ridge Camp

Arrive at Lusaka International Airport and connect with the domestic charter flight to Mfuwe. Depending on your arrival time, you might need to overnight in Lusaka the day before, we are happy to assist you with this service if required. Arrive Mfuwe and road transfer to camp. You have arrived in "paradise"! Located well inside the incredible South Luangwa National Park with an outlook onto a private floodplain and watering hole, this remote and elevated landscape is enriched by the rolling gait of giraffe, the heart-shaped nose of the puku, and the midnight whoop of the hyena. You will be spending 4 nights at Puku Ridge including all your meals, selected beverages and the scheduled shared game viewing activities.

The South Luangwa is 9,050 square kilometres and is colloquially referred to as the “Valley of the Leopard” due to such a high density of this elusive African animal being found in the park. The park is still largely uninhabited and unexplored, giving you a remote and private feel. Arguably home to Africa’s best bush walks, you will be able to explore the valley on foot and even encounter some pretty special African animals and walk with the increasingly rare Wild Dogs.

Lower Zambezi

Staying at Chiawa Camp

Transfer to the airstrip after breakfast and take the scheduled charter flight to Jeki airstrip, and road transfer to your camp in in the Lower Zambezi. Check in and have lunch, then relax before the afternoon game viewing activity. This 3 nights stay at Chiawa includes all your meals, selected beverages and game viewing activities. This part of the trip will be very different in terms of eco-system and type of activities. The family owned and operated, multi-award-winning Chiawa Camp, is the pioneer of the Lower Zambezi National Park, the first camp to settle along the banks of the mighty Zambezi River. From game drives to heart-stopping game walks as well as canoeing, boating and angling – all in the company of Africa’s finest guides; you will have endless memories.

Day 8-9

Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Staying at Matetsi Victoria Falls

Last morning in Zambia, after breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for the charter flight to Livingstone. On arrival, road transfer to Zimbabwe and your lodge Matetsi located about 40 km upriver from the rush and spray of the Victoria Falls, on a private 15 km stretch of the mighty Zambezi. The 2 night stay is ideal for you to relax after the safari, although you might choose to experience some more game viewing. We recommend you enjoy a stunning sunrise or sunset cruise; and visit the Falls. The ideal combination of safari, river, Victoria Falls and relaxation all wrapped up in warm genuine Zimbabwean hospitality.

End Of Itinerary

Today is your last day and you will be transferred to Victoria Falls airport for your onward flight back home, or contact us should you wish to extend your safari.
