The beautiful and exclusive camp in the northeast Tanzania is perched on the rim of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, offering some of the most breathtaking views. The crater is the result of a volcano that exploded about three million years ago and collapsed on itself creating what is toady an expanse of about 240 kilometres square in size – today teems with wildlife such as zebras, wildebeest, rhino and beautiful rivers and forests.
Bird-watching is a popular pastime as there are over 100 species of birds in the area; there is an opportunity to more about the traditions and culture of the local Masai tribe on an enlightening day tour to the nearby village. However, each night, a warm and inviting campfire is lit for you to gather round and take in the splendour of the sunset before partaking in a delicious dinner. You will also be occasionally be treated to a traditional dance by members of the Masai tribe around the campfire.
