Is the Camelthorn Lodge for Me?
Located on the edge of the Ngamo Plains, Camelthorn Lodge centres around an ancient camelthorn tree. The lodge features eight forest villas, each with canopy-level balconies accessed by spiral staircases – perfect for afternoon relaxation on daybeds or hammocks.
The main lodge is an impressive thatched structure, with its western wing containing a formal dining room with three fireplaces for chilly evenings, while the eastern wing provides an open-fronted bar and lounge area.
Large bedrooms with sliding glass doors offer panoramic views, while four villas boast upstairs splash pools. Located within the Imvelo Ngamo Rhino Sanctuary, you might even spot rhinos wandering near the lodge!
