Is the Papa’s Camp for Me?
Papa’s Camp, named after Ernest Hemingway, offers an intimate safari experience within Murchison Falls National Park, situated 25km upstream from the renowned falls on the south bank of the Nile River. This classic-style camp delivers off-the-grid luxury in a pristine wilderness setting within a newly designated Low Use Zone.
The camp features 5 luxury en-suite tents (36 sqm) nestled in a beautiful fig tree grove, each overlooking the Nile River with opportunities to spot hippos, crocodiles, and wildlife drinking from the northern bank. The spacious mess tent provides comfortable lounging areas, a bar, and communal dining, complemented by a rustic fire pit.
The location promises exceptional wildlife viewing, including large populations of lions, buffalo, and giraffes. Between December and March, the grasslands host huge flocks of Abdim’s storks, while night drives offer chances to spot leopards and other nocturnal creatures.
