My young family and I utilised the Discover Africa Group over our 2008, 2009 and 2012 holidays – in total some 14 weeks through South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.

Our expectations in terms of itinerary planning and accommodation bookings were exceeded. The collective travel knowledge of this group was not equalled by any other tour operator that we had previously dealt with, nor since. The group was on call 24/7, had we experienced any issues with our travel plans.

Discover Africa and Carel has put in such an effort for us to experience the annual wildebeest migration, meticulous planning and accurate predictions with logical and the best accommodation options both sides of the Mara River guaranteed us crossings, we did manage to see the herds cross on the Serengeti side and again on the Masai Mara side, it felt good that they had this covered!

She was able to create a unique package for us that both exceeded our expectations and fitted within our budget. My fondest memory was definitely the trip to Devil’s Pool at Victoria Falls. It really was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and something I will never forget.
